check the dot number and boiling point, for example both valvoline syn power and ford syn fluid are dot 4 but valvoline have a higher boiling point.
only use dot 3 or dot 4 unit, dot5 are totally water proof, which was use in hydralic brake for boat trailer that see saltwater alot.
if you pour dot 5 fluid in your system it will kill the abs unit.
ATE blue/gold are very good, slightly higher than valvoline synpower, too bad you have to order it, i been running track time with synpower, it works great. no problem.
make sure you flush your fluid often if you running dot4, they absorb water much faster than dot3 fluid

Motul and feroda are both great fluids. Personally however I can't justify spending the extra money.
I use ATE Blue/Gold...for the cost of ATE, I can change my fluid twice as often as if I was using Motul. And in that aspect (if I wanted to do that) the ATE would perform better then the Motul overall as it would be a fresher fluid.
Also, myself and many others run ATE at the track...never boils...and if it does you are probably doing something wrong (unless you are at a track with huge amounts of braking and no cool down.

This is the first time I've heard somebody not recommend DOT 5 brake fluid, and on top of that state that it is bad for ABS. Most autocrossers I know use DOT 5 brake fluid, love it and haven't had any problems.
