Default Best CAI & Exhaust Combo?

What combination yields the most WHP? I am currently considering the AEM CAI and Spugen dual exhaust, but I defer to all of your experiences. Please advise.

Thanks!

Is the Amuse loud? How much is it?

What's better about Injen vs. AEM.

Thanks!

Not much. Injen (I think) is still a single pipe, AEM is two-piece. Gains are the same, sound is the same, but I've heard getting the single piece Injen in can be a beatch...

I have the AEM and am considering the Spugen dual as well. FYI, Amuse is around $1500...

Thanks Zonie. Can you notice a significant increase with the CAI from stock?

Never dyno'd myself and the gains are SO SLIGHT that I'm hard pressed to notice gains by the 'seat of my pants' method. I absolutely LOVE the sound at WOT, really tough. And quite honestly the RPMs SEEM to spin up faster than stock setup, which is logical as I think the stock airbox is somewhat restrictive (for noise reduciton). But that may be my imagination...

The torque curves I've seen show a nice little *bump* at around 4K. Heck, for $150-200 you can't go wrong, eh?

Before my CAI, I was neck and neck with some of the local S2000's. After my CAI, I can pull on the MY2002's. I have a MY2001 and I thought that it made a very noticable difference on my car. I have a 4IGS2000 CAI and I love it.

Mugen makes very nice parts. I don't happen to subscribe to the Mugen/Spoon stuff myself. The quality is among the very best. In my opinion, they are very high priced and I will spend my hard earned money elsewhere, thanks. This is why it's nice to have a choice.

I have never been one to buy something just because it has a certain brand. Before I buy something, it has to prove itself to me first. The brand isn't what I buy. I buy the product, and quality doesn't have to cost a fortune. I have an inexpensive exhaust system to install that is of very good quality and I like the sound better than Spoon or Mugen. Fortunately, I'm not hung up on brand names.

I will be installing my Spugen dual ovals on the 5th of October ( very excited) then I will be looking for a CAI also, we have alot of flash floods here, and need a good CAI that I wont risk getting hydrolocked, then I could give you some feedback.

Tenblade2001 has a good combo and is very knowledgable, you could PM him and ask his opinion. I wanna say he has an PRM CAI and a Speed? single exhaust.
