Congrats, that is true freedom.

I didn't know how to answer the poll because I have money in the bank to pay it off, but I decided to take a 2.49% loan on the car anyway to have the convenience of keeping my cash in the bank.

I only paid a hair over $800 in interest since I bought it too...I'm cool with that.

My best car loan experience dates back 21 years and picking up the Tiger; I was much younger then and didn't have $12K sitting in the checking account. My father-in-law said Here, take the money, pay it back when you can... or not if you don't want to. We made a point of paying it back. Very cool in-laws and yes, I did let him drive the car.

I paid mine off in 3 yrs. All my cars are paid off also, we have 3 yrs left to pay on a 15 yr mortgage which feels awesome. Unfortunately my wife wants a new house so we're building another one on our property so looks like I'm back in for another 15 (which we'll pay off early too!).

Feels grt congrats , the only thing I have payments on is my house ...better to invest in my retirement than a mortgage any day of the week, year or period !!! ..........at rates today its CRAZY to pay off any MORTGAGE back on topic ....cars are fun , better when paid off "more money for mods " ...but before you pay off any car be sure to fully fund any retirement plans you have ...that will give money for mods ..for life

I was able to pay mine off in November thanks to work. It's been nice not having that payment every month!
