Paid mine off over 6 years ago! Plan to keep it at least 6 more. Nice not having a payment.

Bought mine outright. No car payments, just a mortgage. That will change when one of the DD's needs to be replaced in the next few, then it will be a car payment that we pay off early.

Paid cash.

I will never have another car payment in my life.

If I can't pay cah for something, I don't need it (with the exception of a house).

Yeah I was lucky enough to buy men cash when I turned 18. Very fortunate.
It must be a good feeling to finally have it paid off after all this time. Paying off any bills is a great achievement.

That must be very nice.

I pay cash for any vehicle I purchase, but alas in CA I cannot say the same for the overpriced housing. I'll be whittling down the mortgage for at least another decade.

Mine is 2007 and has a loan consideably more than I want to pay in three years, but at 3.25% , I am in no rush to pay it off.

Congrats, man!

I've got a few more years to go on mine, but I'm glad I financed it. All my prior cars were bought cash, so I wasn't building any credit.

If the interest is cheap, building credit has value. I've been paying an additional $1,000 a month in principal over my actual payment so it should be paid off very soon (about 7 more months). I like to have the flexibility of paying over five years if my cash flow suffers, but as long as I have extra money, I'll keep knocking it down to 0. Every time I make the additional principal payment it feels great.
