Best floor jack for s2000
I have been researching low profile floor jacks. Don't want to lift from the side. Does anyone use a long reach low profile to get car up on jackstands?

I've been using the Harbor Freight long reach low profile for many years without a problem.
I lift the front from the center subframe lifting point, put stands under the front pinch welds. Then lift the rear on the differential and place stands on the rear pinch welds.

I had a low profile jack with very long reach but I always had to jack up the driver side just a few inches to give enough clearance for the low profile jack to reach the front centre lift point. Without doing that my front jack would hit the lower bumper (ap1 with lip) and prevent it from reaching the centre lift point. I still needed to use the two-jack method. It was just one more step but wasn't too bad.
I found the low profile ones from HF, weren't long enough. Finally found one on amazon
Omega 29023 Magic Lift Black Low Profile Hydraulic Service Jack - 2 Ton Capacity...
I got lucky through a snafu on Amazon's part, initial price was $291 (used intro offer to amazon price and amazon credit card promotion which I quickly cancelled), but showed up missing parts and they made an adjustment, because when they sent me a replacement the order was cancelled by UPS and returned...SO I asked for an adjustment since it was missing parts...ended up getting it for $90!!!!!! And got the two small parts for free from the manufacturer....Sometimes things work out. It will jack the car from the front or rear...All that being said some people just drive up on a couple of sheets of plywood the width of the front tires...Last edited by ahobie17; Mar 8, 2020 at 05:20 PM.
should only be one under the p/n 29023..no foot lift on mine..and that sucker is HUGE..you might find one cheaper elsewhere....but beware if charged for freight.

I bought this prior to the price hike for ~$150. Reliable, safe, and durable (I don't have a garage space, so I have to roll this thing out my sidewalk each time I work on my car.

I have a long reach very low profile jack that will reach the central jack points. But, I do drive up on a 3/4 inch high board to ensure I don't damage the front lip with the back part of the jack. It fits without the board, but the board gives a bit of a safety margin in that regard.
I contemplated one of the low profile long reach, but they are expensive, and heavy. Not easy to find a place for it in my small garage, and unpleasant to carry it when called for.
So I instead bought two HF lightweight aluminum jacks, when tvey were on sale. A decent sized one, and also the smallest one they have. I use the small one to jack on the side jack point, enough to get the larger jack under the front or rear center jack point.
I find this much faster and more convenient than driving up on the home made short ramps I'd built for the same purpose of gaining clearance for the center jack point.
