Best floor jack for s2000
just bought this same one last week. makes life much easier as it fits underneath the car fairly well, goes up and down quick and safe
the OP asked about a jack that could be used from the front of the car, the one I showed can without bumping body work...it takes a very long low reach, take a tape measure and measure from the center low point on your car to the jack point and the height of the fascia off the ground....
I haven't found a jack that will go under my stock suspension so I drive up on a set of blocks I made with scrap 1" x 12" (10"?) shelving. Need 6' cut into 2x1' and 2x2'. Nail or glue the short section on top of the long with the ends flush. Just drive on and my jacks (and EZ Car Lift) will slide under.

I use the one in the link below and drive up on a piece of 1x10 to give just enough clearance to run the jack under the front jack point.

I use the Harbor Freight Daytona long reach floor jack. Pretty robust and if you can get an online coupon for it's a good deal.
Although if you're lowered any, you'll still need to have a little ramp or wood blocks to drive up on a little to get the jack underneath the front.

I have the Omega mentioned earlier in the thread. It was the second thing I bought when i bought my car back in 2006. First thing was the factory shop manual
The jack has a collapsed height of 2.5 inches. It reaches the central jacking point on the front without the need for boards. Roll it under the license plate. Lift. Done.
As said the jack is heavy 100 lbs. It is long 46-48 inches. And it is tall. when the handle is straight up it is almost 5 feet. Because of all this it may be hard for some to store.
This jack does make working on the car simple. No need for boards.
I also have a track prepped Miata that is lower than a stock S2000 and the jack reached it's central jacking points also. Without the need of boards.
The jack for me has been a good investment.

I work for a hydraulic shop and I have 2 low profile jacks. One is Compac and the other is AC hydraulics. Both are great jacks but expensive if you have to pay retail, but you get what you pay for. Less than 3'' and will go under car at least 2 feet at that height and lift over 3 feet tall.
The Omega 29023 referenced in this thread gets the job done. I got it for $300 shipped from autozone. Like others said...this thing is big and heavy. You need some space to swing this thing around and to pump the handle. My ride height is stock...this jack will reach jacking points front and rear.
