best gasoline to use?
Aside from the discussion on additives, another very important factor is the station's filtration. I prefer Costco, as they constantly monitor their flow rates, and their stations are always clean. When Costco in Phoenix started adding their own branded Clean Power additive, I've almost exclusively filled up there. If I need to fill up outside Costco business hours, Chevron is my next choice, lots of data out there on Techron. Finally, a couple times a year I will run a bottle of Techron fuel injector cleaner through all of my cars.
When I had my S, I put Rebel, Shell, Sinclair,Vons, Texaco, Chevron and "K" 91 octane in. To be honest, I couldn't tell a difference and my car performed like a champ. I never fooled with "less popular" stations. If they have wikipedia page, I'll use them.
I use to fuel my bike with Valero all the time. Never had a single problem

I recently spoke with the driver of an un-marked gasoline truck while it was off loading at a BP station. I noticed he was smiling as I approached, I asked if there was anywhere in our region to buy gasoline w/o ethanol? After telling me no he said he figured I was coming to ask if there's any difference in gasoline brands? (He said he gets that asked a lot). He said his truck usually carries "branded" gasoline which he delivers to various "branded stations" such as Shell, BP, Exxon, Marathon, etc. I asked if he dispensed different additives when off loading at different stations? Laughingly he said "no, we don't add anything it's all the same gas going to different stations". He said unbranded stations often get filled from "branded" trucks too. Occasionally he may carry a load of "unbranded" gasoline, but it only gets delivered to unbranded stations.
Personally I just try to buy any branded gasoline, preferably from a newer high volume station.

Fluky15, British Petroleum (BP) knows nothing about plugging holes, lol.
In our region we mostly have 91 octane, I could move up to 94 if I pay a bit more for it, but there is nothing between 91 and 94, so it is either 91 or 94. I believe it is all ethanol enhanced (about 10 percent). Anyone find better performance by going over 91 octane ?.

I usually use Shell but BP is also good. Everything else is just ok. Sometimes I'm forced to use 91 octane if I'm really low and there's no other gas stations around but I feel like I'm abusing the car.
One time I put in regular gas when my car got hit and I thought it was going to be totaled. Ran like absolute shit, never again.
