In our region we mostly have 91 octane, I could move up to 94 if I pay a bit more for it, but there is nothing between 91 and 94, so it is either 91 or 94. I believe it is all ethanol enhanced (about 10 percent). Anyone find better performance by going over 91 octane ?.

I do remember the big oil spill. Im personally stuck on 91 for Ontario. The consistency of 94 is not there, you never know if it could be good or bad 94. My good buddy switched to 91 just like me, he found 94 was too up and down as well. Petro Canada 91 without fail for me.

Anything aside from Arco, and the less stale the better.

^ This and anecdotal evidence really doesn't mean much.

I usually stick with Shell, Chevron or Texaco. I notice that (all from the butt dyno) the S feels peppier with Chevron but I get the best mileage out of Texaco. Shell is in between. They all offer 93 in my area so it's just a matter of which one I want. On most occasions I go to Shell.

I noticed that Citgo is the worst. Otherwise I stick to BP and Shell

Amazing you'd buy their gas since they had the sulfur issue years ago. Nothing Canadian about their gas either.

Avoid gas with 10% ethanol unless you use it quickly - evaporation and resultant condensation in the fuel lines can make starting more difficult, or so says the Society of Petro Enginners.

Where in America can you buy gas without corn in it?

Every station in town says 'may contain up to 10% corn' thankfully they husk it for you.

Shell used to have a reputation of not using ethanol in their fuels in our country , but then they were required to use it in certain regions that are affected by poor air quality. So we can't find fuel without ethanol anymore.

Rob, thanks for the reply on 94 octane, if there is no benefit I will stick with 91. 92 used to be a common premium fuel a few years back then it disappeared and we were left with 91 as premium and 94 as extra $.
