Default Best insurance for an S2000?

Just picked up a 2006 s2000 convertible from a friend and am looking for the best possible insurance coverage for the thing (while also not breaking the bank).

Who do you guys use to insure your vehicle?

I have state farm on both cars.
Full coverage.

Its a sport car so don't expect anything super cheap. Many variables determine your rate. Good luck.

Congrats on the pickup, welcome to the community. Hate to bust on your thread but if the posters could also include if they support modifications y/n? I am always shopping for better coverage.

I think USAA (if somehow military related) is limited to 5k aftermarket coverage these days with receipts. Which I am with right now.

Even if its a 2DR RWD car it was cheaper for me to insure this than a RSX-S.

Welcome to S2ki.com and congratulations on your purchase.

You might want to use the search function here since the question you just asked, or ones similar to it, gets asked about once every other month.

sorry about that. i'll try and contribute something to the question nevertheless

i went ahead and got some quotes from all of the big players in the car insurance industry

GEICO, Allstate, Amica, Progressive, eSurance, state farm, farmers, etc.

basically I went thru the list of all the best companies at http://www.forbes.com/sites/jimgorze...ied-customers/

the cheapest i found for my s2000 was actually from a http://www.4autoinsurancequote.com ... i'm not sure if i trust them case they seem a bit sketchy, but they quoted me at $69/month, which was nearly $20 less than any other company. but, it seems too good to be true so i might stay away

http://www.usaa.com quoted me at $70/month and they seem to be the best of the "reputable" companies, but... i guess they are only for military families, and they aren't accepting that my brother is in the military as an excuse for joining, so i guess they are a no go.

anyways, long story short, it seems like I might end up insuring with state farm. $90/month average rates.. i guess i could do worse, right?

^^ I don't like repeating the same things (because it gets really boring to the people who have to listen to it) so I'll just point to this thread. The numbers mean nothing if you aren't clear about what coverage you are comparing.

What is best? Brands don't mean much, policy does. For example there isn't a major brand that touches my Geico policy coverage; yet some will say Geico is horrible.

You want OEM brand new replacement parts, best make sure that's in your agreement.
