Same here!!!! I live in South Florida and already hydro locked one car due to a cold air intake sucking up water....the K&N and Comptech are the best solution.

I got the spoon drop in filter and it got louder. Maybe like +2 gain. With the snokel you might be able to see 3-4 more.

I've been looking at the K&N FIPK, but it looks a lot like the stock air box minus the lid. Doesn't it suck in a lot of hot air from the engine bay? Would I be better off getting a snorkel and a K&N filter? Thanks.

The K&N FIPK is NOT like the stock airbox minus the cover. It makes a seal when the hood is closed and sucks are from that side area of the engine bay away from the hot air coming off the radiator. I like mine...K&N claims 9.55 HP gain but it's definetly lower than that. None of the intakes for our cars really increase wheel HP that much, they just make VTEC sound really mean and give better throttle response!! But I do feel like I gained some HP when VTEC hits and this is what K&N's dyno plot from there website suggests.

when i had my comptech with my current setup i made 227hp on the dyno.

i just put the AEM V2 on there while retaining everything else and i'm about to go get my car dyno'd again. i'll post the results. the butt dyno says i'm making more power but i'll get it confirmed late next week.
