Default Best Intake

I have a cold air AEM intake on my S. I am thinking of getting J's intake.( Tsuchinoko)

Is it worth the money?

You're going to get a lot of different responses on this one. IMO, unless you have the money to spend, it's WAY too expensive. You're going to get minimal gains from any intake on this car, so I would put the money somewhere else. I have the Comptech...it's about $350 new but it looks awesome (carbon fiber) and it sounds great too. I had the AEM v1 before it, and it sounded the same just to give you an idea since you already have it. I only took it out for fear of hydrolock.

^I agree. If you have the money and want the bling factor go for it.
I personally would just go with stock air box gutted, drop in filter, and some sort of snorkel or AUT cooling plate.

probably should define what you mean by best -

gains? bling? value?

just because it costs 1300bucks doesn't mean it's the best...

and besides, it's only an intake, gains would be minimal

I say K&N has the best filters and their FIPK has plastic tubing, which won't absorb heat like the metal ones.

K&N FIPK on my S, does its job. but it all depends on what your want/desire/needs are from an intake.

gutted airbox kn drop in filter and snorkel? really?

i immediately cut out that stupid plastic 'wall' when i got my stook. i was unaware that the snorkels help that much - but i have a question...

lets just say that i dont want to drop crazy money on a carbon one.. does anybody make non cf ones that are a reasonable price?
