I think it really matter on what you are looking for. If it's sound then it seems to me the AEM is best.(Which is pretty much the only reason to get an intake. Any gains will be minimal. Also try opening the stock box, flip the clips up then shut it as much as possible. This will give you the sound of an intake with out it soaking the heat of the engine.

Acctually.... The K&N Improved my throttle response quite a bit... If you go with the AEM( unless you get one of there pointless shortrams that suffer from heat soak) your going with a longer intake tube.

Basically, for me atleast the K&N offerd the short ram throttle response i was looking for as well as the sound, without any of the neggative heat soak issues.

It just seems to be a very well thought out peice. Like the comptech...

I'd say the same about AEM, especially at hghway speeds. I don't have any proof of this.

I know in MY -04, the filter is placed right behind the opening left of the "mouth".(which i cut so air could flow in) This provided the filter with a good amount of air. In my+04 this is probably not the case.

I HAVE THE AEM COLD AIR AND THINK IT'S THE BEST, I THINK THEY EVEN DYNO'D IT ON THE AEM WEB-SITE. THE ONLY BENEFIT FROM THE SHORT RAM IS NOT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT THE WHOLE WATER HITTING THE INTAKE ISSUE.
