Lots of info if you do a search, I've got a K&N FIPK Gen II, see topic at https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...f=133&t=256141 .

Lots of choices, good luck.

I also have K&N FIPK - very pleased.

I need to post a pic for you guys -

AP2Kyle & all - please note it was pointed out to me that the rubber gasket that goes over the air intake tube - the rubber collar piece that you place the filter onto - well that gasket fits into the the heat shield box forming a seal - you can see from your photo that there is an opening around the intake tupe where it passes through the heat shield box - that opening is sealed perfectly when the collar is placed into it. Its a bit of a tight squeeze but it seals everything up nicely.

The photos of the set up on eBay are exactly like yours - honestly i'm not sure which is the correct set up or or more efficient? There is a groove running around the collar that fits perfectly into the opening of the heat shield box - so my thinking is that it's supposed to fit into the box - anyone else see this or can know of difference?

My S is under cover today int he garage & I'm in the office - i can post picture later tonight.

^ So you are saying the rubber piece the filter is attached to is supposed to be pushed farther back into the box to seal it up? I think i tried doing it and the rubber would not budge. I has like a groove that wont let it go farther back.
But if you can post pics i'd greatly appreciate it.

I loosened everything up - got the groove of the collar to fit into the opening of the box - then retightened everything. It does fit with some labor - & seals everything up on the drivers side of the box.

Pics later tonight.

I also would like to see the pic of this. I tried this as well with no success.

Oh yeah to the original poster, I did lots of research and went with K&N fipk. Very pleased with the decision. It's funny everyone here so far have fipk, cuz usually it is AEM v2~
