Best place to buy a car jack?
Going to start changing the oil at home. I don't want to get ripped off, but have no clue who would carry these other than Pep Boys or some place like that.
I assume I'll need car stands too? What about just driving it up on blocks? I thought I saw someone did that on here with great success.

a couple fo questions for you...
how much do you want to spend?
how long do you want it to last?
do you now (or plan to in the future) lift any vehicles other than the S, if yes, will they be large/heavy?
do you have storage space issues for a floor jack?
do you now (or plan to in the future) do any track racing?
are you just going to be changing the oil, or do you have the need/urge to do anything else under your vehicle?

If you have long enough arms it is very easy (provided you have a small enough pan to go under the car) to remove the oil filter as well as the drain bolt from the top of the engine bay.
That is how I change my oil.

Guys, an AC jack is truly overkill for most everyone.
You get what you pay for? I think you get a better deal with the Sears units. FYI, Sears will be retailing their own Aluminum Craftsman Jack soon for under $200 as well.
Harbor Freight's Aluminum Jack is made in the same factories as the 'cheap' jacks that everyone blasts here on line.
The best deal in the market right now is the Sam's Michelin Jack for like, $58. But it's more a 'regular' style garage jack.
You MUST buy Jack Stands. This is essential as Jacks are only lifting devices, and NOT supporting devices.
