Default Best place to find AP2 wheels cheap?

I really don't like the 16 inch rims on my 2001, I don't want anything flashy or anything, I just really want a set of the ones on the AP2. I figured a lot of people going aftermarket would be letting them go for rather cheap, not like they are chrome or anything... well that hasn't been the case. They've proved pretty hard to find, there are a few on ebay but they are like $350 each??? That's insane, they are just stock rims.

I want some 17 inch rims but i want them for cheap, I just had to replace my top which cost me an arm and a leg. I don't think i'd pay over $350 for the entire four when I can get a whole set of nicer aftermarket ones from tirerack for about $400

try craisgslist. Also, I know there is a site that sells replica OEM ones for half the price that Honda charges so try searching. You can get an entire set for $400 on tirerack? The only ones that come close to that price are ASAs...and I don't really consider them nice.

Your best place to look is on this forum in the classifieds. Finding anything for $350 to $400 for wheels alone probably won't happen unless the wheels are curbed and in bad shape.

Also, I wouldn't compare prices of replicas, I'd recommend getting factory wheels for just a little more.

I purchased a set here that I found in the want to buy forum. Try posting up in there.

Its gonna be tough getting a really good deal on clean AP2 rims though. They are pretty in demand to AP1 owners who dont want to spend big bucks on light weight aftermarket wheels but want the updated styling and better performance.

Good luck!

I also posted in the 'Want to Buy' Forum and was contacted by a seller less than an hour away from me -- worked out great! I bought his very lightly used AP2 V1s for $800 with the original RE050s which had ~85% tread remaining, which I thought was a very good deal.

I agree with the other people who said it would be difficult to find the wheels for the price you mention (~$400). All the AP2 wheels seem to be in pretty high demand. Even the replicas seem pretty expensive (~$265 each from www.wheelsandcaps.com ).

But I do these wheels -- they're a huge improvement in appearance (and handling, compared to the all-seasons on the OEM 16" wheels, but that's not really a fair comparison).

Best of luck in your search!

You can get nicer wheels than ap2 stocks for 400? The s2k isn't exactly a car you should be cheap with. Not to say you cant get away with being cheap. But if you're willing to spend 350 give it a little longer and spend 500 or so on a nice set of ap2 stocks. I picked mine up for 500 with light scratches. Nothing you can notice unless your crouching and inspecting each one. Remember, sizes and offsets are extremely important when choosing wheels.

You can buy my AP2V2 rims... $390 delivered in SoCal (negotiable elsewhere)

Clickie ---> AP2V2 rims For Sale (Oooops! Must be S2Ki member to see the For Sale forums.)

Text of the SoCal forums for sale post follows:

Set AP2V2 Rims, Center Caps, Lugs & Rear Tire, $390 delivered.
I have a set of AP2 V2 rims from my '06 S2k for Sale. The set includes OEM 'H' center caps and all OEM lug nuts. All of the wheels have some degree of 'curb rash' but are air tight and look good on the car; at first glance you hardly notice the curbage.

I will throw in a single Bridgestone Potenza rear tire with ~4K EZ miles on it (the other tire had a steel spike go through it so I replaced both of them).

I live in Santa Barbara California, and with a $100 deposit (PayPal), I will deliver wheels/tire anywhere between San Luis Obispo and Calabasas/San Fernando.

PM me with email address and I'll send hi-res pics.
