Default Best Price for MY04???

After talking with a local dealer here in the Albany NY area, I was able to get a Silverstone/Blk for a January delivery date. Negotiated price was $30500.00. My feeling is that I had greater negotiating power because winter is quickly approaching in this area. I have not given the dealer the deposit yet and am curious if this is a good price considering I will need to store the car the majority of the winter. Except of course for those sunny cold days.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any thoughts on the headrest speaker system as well? I have a co-worker that feels it is not the best idea. His thinking is it may just contribute to a bigger headache with the speakers right next to your ears. He apparently has had experience with a similar setup.

Thanks,

Dean

Does the price incled TTL? Grand Honda in Chicago is apparetnly offering MY04's for $29,500. If you do a search on the internet, you may be able to find this and use it as leverage as a buying price. I know my dealership will usually do a price match.

I just paid $30495 from a dealer in OK for our 04 Silverstone/red/black. I havn't seen anyone lower than that yet for an 04. Thats around $500 over invoice and seems vary fair for this limited production vehicle. I would say go for it if you can wait till January. (why so long?) Seems like most people can get one in in under 30 days.

As for the headrest speakers, we didn't get them but I am now considering adding them. As is, you have 4 speakers, ALL in the front part of the door, thats it. If you try and fade the stereo to the back you get nothing unless you add the headrest speakers. The sound doesn't surround you at all with this set up. Its very localized towards the front. I plan on trying to find a dealer or someone who has installed one to compare.

SoDakS2K,
That link shows a 2003, I think. (1997 cc).
Is Grand Honda selling MY04s for that price?

Much better than up here in the Seattle area (aka Microsoftland) where '03's still have second stickers on the windows and MSRP is a "good deal"... the market still supports the higher pricing here, unfortunately...

Anyway, the price you get for the new car is only as good as the trade-in price, if you have one... typically if a dealer is willing to go down on the new car, they're not going to give you top dollar on your trade.
