take out the tools and spare from your trunk to save weight if that's all you're concerned about. best of all it's free.

Don't worry to much on the material that it made out of for weight loss because it barely makes a differences. For a single exhaust the weight goes from 14-7 lbs so you would probably not feel that 7lb differences. You should look through vendor and see which style you like so you can duplicate the one you like. Since you probably do not want to spend to much money go with Spugen you can probably duplicate the more expensive counterparts for less money. There piping comes out real nice and I heard they have great customer service.

IN the end isnt piping, piping... Thats why i wanted to create a custom exhaust. There are apexi universal mufflers and an hks muffler going for sale on ebay. Are these good mufflers. Or should i get a spugen muffler. If the total exhaust is 420, im not sure how much just the muffler would be. Here are a couple of deals..

Mainly im doing this for weight but i would like a little sound too. Are these any good they are selling or should i just try for the spugen. Thanks

i'd say go for spugen. without tuning a custom exhaust you run the risk of making your car sound like a lawnmower.

spend the extra cash, in the long run it'll be worth it.

One more thing,,, ive noticed looking around that a single exhaust for our cars is around 500-1000 and thats including shipping. But when i was roaming round i saw for an integra type r single exhaust you can get them between 200-700. And its 2.5 inch piping like ours. Are they any differences. As anyone ever tried using one of those on our cars. If the exhaust in length is the same, and has the same or similar fitting, what other problems can you come across. Thanks..

never tried, but i would assume the bends and hanger locations are not identical... so I doubt it would not work.

keep your stock exhaust on your car fully intact until you save up enough money for a spugen.

i'm not a big fan of do it yourselfers unless you are fully capable of doing the job right.. which means having a good amount of experience working on the same thing. you don't seem to know all that much about exhausts in the first place if you think you can fit an integra exhast onto an s2000. and your first idea of chopping up the s2000 exhaust and welding a rice muffler onto it was terrible man. i guess its all about what that extra $200 means to you.
