Default best sounding exhaust for a middle age man

Alright well here is the thing. My dad just baught his S2000 3 days ago and already ordered a v2 aem intake along with a crate of zano. I have a heavily modded wrx with a turboxs exhaust on it and he thinks that that is too loud. He wants somthing that is noteibly louder then stock but not too loud and he wants good tone to it. Anyone have any ideas. Personally i like the look of the hks and the apexi. Dose anyone know where we can get sound clips for an exhaust or even better more then one. Help is very appreciated.

if you got $$$, go for the amuse dual r1. only get the dual though, the singles tend to get much louder.

the comptech dual is very good too, and much more affordable.

Well, I originally installed a T1R single exhaust and even though it sounded awesome (mild compared to other single outlets), saved about 25lbs, and improved throttle response and hp (I think) it just did not suit my daily drives.

I traded it for a HKS Hi-Pwr and even though the gains are minimal or none compared to stock, the sound is subtle and is just what I was looking for. Personally, I think its sounds great and is perfect for daily driving.

You really need to hear them for yourself but if your father is not looking too much into performance I think HKS, Mugen, or Fuji could be an ideal choice.

Just my .02 cents.

The Fuji seems to be a popular choice for those that want an aggressive sound but not too loud. I think the Spugen dual oval fit that criteria as well.

Every single I've ever heard is very f'ing loud.

Try the "resonator-ectomy" first.

For about $50.00 he may like it enough to give the $1000.00 ++ he saved to you.

Regards,

of the exhausts I've heard... I like Invidia.

FWIW: I dont have an S yet so I dont know how it would work on a daily basis, but it sounds smooth when notn pushed and rocks when the tach gets a workout.

I think the Invidia is going to be way too much for the "loud conscious" person. The Comptech is a great choice

if you want to hear a sound clip of the hks exhaust go to www.hksusa.com and go into the exhaust section, also you can go to www.s2000library.com which has a bunch of exhaust clips try those out.

I have the invidia on my S and up until now it has been my Daily Driver, I wouldn't say that it is too loud. It is really easy to control how loud it is by throttle...

(The only reason this is no longer my Daily Driver, is because I will be attending college again starting tomarrow and don't want to risk some asshole vandalizing my S...)
