Default Best time of year to buy 03 S2000???

Is one time of the year better than another to buy one of these cars? Say late fall/winter vs. early spring/summer? It would seem the dealers would be more willing to deal when the weather is crappy than when the weather is good. Right?

For those is NJ/NY/PA/CT/DE, which dealers have decent prices and good customer service. Looking to buy early next year - Red/Black. I'm so psyched it hurts!

Thanks!

Well seeing as how its a limited production sportscar, they aren't going to drop the price much one way or another. So, in order to get slightly lower payments, i would get it when the '03's first come out, that way you get a higher residual %, but thats only if you are going to lease. As far as buying one, not sure. Anyone feel free to correct me if i am wrong. Wouldn't be the first time

I hear from the tricks of the trade that around christmas time is the best time to buy a new car. Weather is crappy for a convertible and sales people are needing money for the season. Deal as much as you can because each dealer won't want to pass up on any potential buyers at that time. Their business is slow that time too.

best time inorder to get the price on an 03 s2000???

you would get the best price around the mid to end spring time in the year 2007. The prices should drop by then.

January or February, not so much the Holiday season when people buy cars as gifts, but January and Feb are cold and people tend to cut spending after they splurge for the holidays so car buying should slow a bit and that is prob your best bet.

I agree with 2002S2K. February is the best time to buy (any car). Or (another time) in Honda's case, September, when the model year is over and the new ones are ready to come out.

There were quite a number of MY01 leftovers this past January.

If you don't mind getting a MY02, you should be able to get a good deal on a MY02 this January.

Thanks all for your responses. I appreciate your help. Looks like early next year takes the edge for the "best" time to buy. That's pretty much what I was planning. I don't mind a MY 02 leftover except that I must have Red w/black interior.

I noticed the Library section of the forum last night and started to check out some of the "MSRP Dealer's" websites. Looks like this would be a good place to start shopping when I'm ready.

Thanks again and please do continue sharing your opinions on my post!

Not sure if this helps you but I got my '02 in February 2002 and I paid MSRP in CT.

I admit I wasn't looking nor did I try to pay below that.
