best way to move
So guys, here is my situation. I have to get a s2000 hard top from LA to reno SOON. Now, ideally the best way to transport it, is just by driving the s2000 down there, installing it, and driving back. BUT, i dont have an s2000 to drive at this time. long story, but i just dont have one. So, unless someone has an s2k that i could borrow, i guess that idea is out.
so, what is the best way to transport the hard top? i was thinking of renting a moving vehicle but that is REALLY expensive becuase of the miles. Anyone know of somewhere i could rent one that is unlimited miles? OR do you have any of you have any other suggestions?
i'm willing to spend a few hundred dollars and willing to drive it.. no problem.
please let me hear your thoughts! THANKS
does anyone know of it will fit in a 15 passenger van with the seats removed? does anyone have the dimensions of their hard top?

rent a pickup from the airport, enterprise, etc. and throw it in the back (with padding etc of course). my buddy got a big diesel ford duallie as a loaner when he dropped his accord off for warranty work, so i know they have them.
thanks everyone! i'm going to go and rent a big pickup and do it that way. =) that way i can just make it fit.
the 15 passengre van will be a gamble.. so that's what i'll do. i'll post how it goes for ppl future reference

1. Rent a larger SUV/pickup truck from an airport rental location (National, Alamo), as they allow drop off at a different location without a mileage fee. I just did this from NJ to FL.
2. Rent a trailer and attach it to the back of whatever vehicle you will be driving down there. Or better yet, borrow a trailer from someone.
3. Most expensive, would be to just ship it using a shipping company.
You only have those 3 choices, so you'd have to pick the lesser of three evils.
