Bought mine right after the first snow of 09..dec 28th to be exact. I definitely used the weather to my advantage. Ended up getting my 06 with 22k miles for $19,000.

I wouldn't call that a steal. That's an average price on an 06 with those kind of miles in mint condition. I local member just bought a GPW 06 for $17,000 with around 25K miles in showroom condition. I offered to trade cars...he didn't bite.

Depends on if you are looking at a large or small dealership. Most of the large dealerships rotate cars every 60 days if they aren't selling. Remember the S2000 is a desirable vehicle (dealers seek them at auctions), so they don't mind holding onto their investment a little while longer. I've bought lots of cars over my 30+ years of driving, and the only way to get a deal...is pay CASH.

And don't buy from a dealership

Find a private seller who is desperate for money.

Well in comparison there was a local 06 with 48k miles listed for 24k and they wouldnt budge. there was only about 8 ap2s around my area within 90 miles and they all had over 30k miles

I believe you. It depends on the area. I had to drive an hour to buy my S2000. I would have gone across several state lines if need be to find the right car at the right price.

I bought mine at the begining of December of last year and for sure the dealer was anixous to get rid of it before the snow set in. Actually drove 5 hours to pick it up and back with the top down! I also notice that prices have jump a little over the past year or so, at least locally.

There are two 08' Chicanes local. Both 23.5, both have 15K miles +/- 200 miles, and both identical condition.

If the Honda dealer had come down 500 I would have bought it. I guess they aren't in a hurry to sell... which is why its been there almost two months.
