Do a 4.44, 4.56, or 4.77 gear swap, you can do it for less than that installed, have some coin left over to get an intake and enjoy the noise, but for 2K that will be your best hands down,
If you want something noticable.

how about a piggy back installed and tuned for about $1200. Seems like people are getting 15-20 whp from this. Seems to me to be a good bang for buck if you dont care about not adding sound.
a "piggy back"?

Thats a pretty vague statement. But if you think its a good deal, I'll gladly install and tune a VAFC2 for you for $1200

$1200 is more in line with getting an Emanage Ultimate installed and tuned, in fact I think thats what the boys in the north east charge.

*edit* btw, it wouldnt hurt to search
ive been searching, but its hard. i know i cant expect everything for 2k but i dont want to make mistakes that im going to have to correct later on. so im guessin the i/h/e isnt the best way to go? so far i was looking at the invidia ex. with berk test pipe, aem cold air and some drags for the track. im gonna continue doing a lil research but s2ki's input/opinion is greatly appreciated. thanks guys for ur feedback!

If your going to run the Invidia exhaust you might want to consider running the Invidia test pipe and header. The combo of the three together would probably net you a decent gain. You would need some tuning at that point.

yeah I was referring to the emanage ultimate or possibly the AEM when it comes out. I like the idea of getting some power for now and scalability for possible turbo in the future. I personally don't like the looks of the singles (even though they add power and reduce weight), and the double exhaust dont seem to add power. I actually like how the stock exhaust sounds. Headers and intake don't seem to add enough power that I would grin from the seat of the pants feel, so those don't appeal to me either. Even power made from a test pipe doesn't seem like all that much from the dynos I've seen.
