I had a MY 2001 and now have a MY 2006. I'm 60 and have had many sports cars and
motorcycles.... The s2000 is special to me.One thing I've noticed getting
older is that my friends don't enjoy my car as much as I do.We can't hear each other while
driving and listening to the radio/CD is almost impossible while carrying on a conversation,
I've enjoyed both cars for the same and different reasons but from my perspective owning an 06 is better on the ears.Enjoy what you have.

I hate your question. Both are great and I think one isn't better then the other. It's all personal preference.
There are far too many "Which is best?" questions on forum sites all over the place (doesn't matter what the forum site is discussing) on subjective questions. Get out there and test drive and figure out what you prefer.

You can ask people a million times and discuss it to death but only you can answer the subjective questions.

everybody knows newer ones because it has a bigger engine..and bigger engine means more HORSEPOWER!!!!!

but anyways joking aside you need to drive both and then decide...

Since you're buying used, take the best deal. My choice was between an MY03 and a MY04 at the time I was looking. Based on price, condition and milage the AP2 was the better value, even though the color didn't give me a hard on.

I'm not allowed to talk about why I think the AP2's are better (mostly), but 9000RPMs get less impressive over time. I was wowed by it until I started riding a bike and cruise at 10kRPM daily. Don't let that be the deciding factor.
That's it...I'm selling my s2k and buying myself a bike so I can cruise around town at 10k rpm...

I think the op wants us to tell him that he got the better s2k...suited for him(since he's not planning on modding it or anything). Otherwise it would start to develop a small hole inside and he won't be able to enjoy his '08. On that matter...Your '08 is easier to live with as a daily driver and you have a good warrenty which means you have a peace of mind when driving it. Enjoy your S2k and drive like it's meant to be drive...at the track. But do not...I repeat do not launch it at above 5k rpms...It's not what the car was made for. Just find some twisty roads and/or track days and have some fun with the topdown...You'll feel like an 80's movie star.
