Big Guy in an S2000
I'm new here, please excuse my ignorance.
I'm looking to buy a new car in the next 6 months. An s2k is looking like a great option, only problem is, I'm kind of a big guy. I'm 6' 5" and not quite sure how I'd feel after driving this car too and from work every day.
My mom has a Miata and I drove that quite often when I was in highschool... It wasn't a horrible fit, but seemed a bit tight. I've heard that s2ks are a little more roomy.
Any guidance would be great! Thanks for the help!

I'm about 6'1" and I think 6'5" could definitely be an issue. If you have long legs, you'll have trouble getting your knees under the steering wheel. If your height is in your torso, you'll practically be looking down through the windshield. As the previous poster mentioned, elbow room is tight. My personal opinion is that it's not a great daily driver for someone 6'+, but I'm sure some here would disagree.
But don't let us tell you if it'll fit. If you're interested, go to a dealer and test drive one. More importantly, spend some time before and/or after the drive just sitting in it and see how it feels. Seems like everyone's experience and comfort level is a little different.

it wouldn't be so bad if it's going to be ur weekend car, but for ur height, i wouldn't recommend it for a daily driver. You're gonna feel cramped real quick i think.
But u'll never know until u drive around in it for a while. i'm 5'8 with a moderately wide chest and find myself cramped quite often when going on my 3 hour trips to and from houston and austin.

I am 6'2, 190 lbs and I fit fine. Yes I do have to peek under the windshield frame if I am close to a stop light, but in terms of comfort, I am jsut fine, even with top up (despite HORRIBLE blind spot). You had best take a number of test drives. That's what I did until I was sure the car was for me. It most definitely is. Good luck.

You will definitely feel cramped sometimes. I'm about 6'2 and I daily drive it...I don't get annoyed with the car very often but there's times when I wish I had something bigger. People always ask me how I fit in it, so get ready for that question
I am 6'6" and 230 lbs. I researched the S for quite some time before buying one, and couldn't be happier. I bought the car with the intention of driving it 75% of the time( as we have three other vehicles), however I will probably end up sharing it with the fiance for the summer and putting it away because I want to keep it in good condition. Anyhow the hardest part of driving the S2000 is being able to see stoplights. I either need to look over the windshield, or scrunch up and look under.
The car is well worth the tight squeeze.
