I understand what you say and certainly have experienced that bouncy ride you talked about on other car/setups, and I hate it. But based on the performance of the Tein Monoflex in the SCC article, and the fact that they qualified it with saying the Tein test was when the track was still wetish, it did well for the price.

However the SCC article was greatly flawed in that they did not do the tests against the same vehicle, and they themselves said that a couple of them were in poor condition, so poor that the results are more or less meaningless.

So I guess we will have to wait until a truly scientific test is done to draw any serious conclusions. I wonder why they did not throw in the PSS9's in that comparo though?

The system is adjustable from over stock ride height to a solid slam. I had my car dropped 15mm.
Did they change the PSS9s over the years? This thread...

... states that the minimum drop is 0.9 inches. I got all happy reading this thread because I wanted to drop it around half an inch, but the information in that other thread I provided contradicts.

Which is correct?

Thanks.

I have PSS9's on my ap2. They're good coilovers, not too rough not too soft. I haven't auto-x with the Bilsteins yet but my car is a dd. The car takes the turns better and id say makes the handling a lot better. I ordered mine in december and a month later they went on national backorder, I received them in February but it was well worth the wait.
I give it up.

after reading thru, i would like to point out that having "the stiffest springs possible" is not always the best option for a car that will see a track (let alone regular street driving on bumpy roads).

Anyone on the ride height?

Can the car be lowered just a half an inch from stock?

I just redid my rear suspension

I adjusted it based on Bilstein recommendation.. and all I can get is 1 finger gap rear at MOST.. I raise it higher but it would go beyond Bilstein recommendation spec.

My rear setting is RR 215mm and RL 205mm (57 cm (22.44 inch) all around from fender lip to bottom of the wheel), I had to set it up that way to balance left and right.

I've yet to try readjusting the front though.. going to do it tomorrow.

PS: I'm on 245/40/17 with 32 psi tyre pressure.
