Default BIMMER or S2K??

I am a student at George Mason and I currently have a 93 BMW 3.25i. I had this car for a year and its got less than 50k on it. I put my heart and soul into it the past year including exhaust/chip/filter/full suspension kit/front body kit/rims...etc at least 10k of work. I love the car and it runs better than an M3 after the mods i have done to it, however i have several major issues with the car
1) There is a new mechanical problem just about every week and the list of problems is at 5 now
2) BMW parts stock or modified are rediculously expensive
3) Auto tranny (cant waste away the best years of my life)

So im thinking i should sell it while im still ahead and get a new car. I have looked at everything and came to the conclusion that an S2000 is right up my ally, though it is a bit pricey i believe that you should pay more to get more. My question to you guys is What should i do in your unbiaed opinion....Keep the bimmer and work out the problems? Or sell it on Ebay and buy an S2000 before Spring? Keep in mind i would probably get 13k for the car on Ebay according to the other cars I see, and its gotta be Ebay cause that way i can post the Mods...Oh and I got no money in the bank cause im paying for school.

Sounds like keeping the 325 would be more trouble than it's worth.

Look I dont mean to flame you but your post contains a few contradictory statements.

You say it Runs better than an M3?
Then you go on to point out that;

1) There is a new mechanical problem just about every week and the list of problems is at 5 now

and

3) Auto tranny (cant waste away the best years of my life)

This ignores the fact that exhaust chip and filter is not going to give you the kind of increases needed to get a cameo in an M3's rear mirror.

Bimmer will give you ongoing costs that will amount to very little resale value. S will put you in debt but at least you will recover some of that money. You'll also (hopefully) get a far more reliable car that requires no mods to enjoy.

Check out the Should I buy an S2000 thread at the top of the forum that's what it is there for.

Which bimmer, what MY, and what MY S2000?
Many S2KI members have bimmers and/or S.
Need more info.
Either way, they are both great fun.

LT

(BTW, for my next car I'm definitely leaning toward M3 unless soemthing better pops up in 2 years)
