Does anyone know how to remove the taillight cover?

I left my stook out at my friend's place for a couple of days and when I got back it was blasted with unpleasant bird surprises and some of it went between the clear taillight cover and the taillight... stupid birds...

Now I have to clean up the mess...

I also get some water spots on the inside during hand washing so I need to pull them off sometime too.

Tail light is accessed from inside trunk. Remove trim panel, then remove 4 bolts, disconnect wiring harnesses, pull out tail light, be careful with gasket (must be installed correctly or it'll leak).
