Why is it right after you wash your car, some bird always has to come and mess it up? If it's not the birds, it's the rain, construction dust, sprinklers, kids with water baloons, dudes with eggs, etc. It sucks cuz you spend a good chunk of time to make your s2k look nice, and you don't even get to enjoy it for that long before it gets dirty again. That's messed up man...

in some strange way, I acually kinda like devoting a little time to washing my car. It makes me think 'damn this is a cool car' and 'wow, this is MY car'
But I do see your point, when it's all nice and clean you want to drive it everywhere and show it off a bit, but when it's dirty, I always find myself saying I haven't washed it for while, even if I have...

you're right - birds suck

How often do you wash your car? My friend washes his MR2 everyday. I think that is excessive, but it's his car.

I usually wash it once a week, but when you get bombed like that, you have to do it again. It's too embarassing to drive around like that. It's just too nasty.

Keep a rag and some quick detailer in your trunk. You dont want that crap (no pun intended ) on your car even for a little while. Eats right through the clear coat and into your paint.

Keep a good coat of wax or polish on the car and these little messes will clean up without you needing to rewash.
I do wash mine once per week, however, if anything happens during the week, that great coat of Zaino I have on it, allows me to clean it up like new quickly.

Bird Sh!t doesn't last on my car more than 2 seconds thanks to

1. Weekend driving only
2. Car cover
3. Carport parking
4. Meguiars Detailer
5. My anal retentiveness
