Meguires sells a kit with a small bar and some detail spray through Discount Auto parts ($16). A little bit of polish usually does it for me.

Some 3" blue low tack painters tape from Home Depot is a good idea for the non pro's like myself. Seems like they put the old beat up cones on the points and of course after getting whacked and put back, they tend to hold some grit and rubber. Wait until one starts melting on your catalyst...mmmm, nice smell.
