Default Blackbox for your car!

My girlfriend recently got into an accident in her s2k and was handed a speeding ticket. On top of that 2 days after the car was out of the shop, somebody left a huge door ding on her car. Since her car is a convertible, we are always worried that somebody might tear the top and steal things inside. So we decided to look for a way to protect it from all the haters and thieves and found an answer to it, blackbox for $400 installed! It records the front and rear views as well as inside of the car and stores it for a week. It also records the history of the speed you were travelling at and has gps tracking feature which shows where you were going.
I will post up a video clip when i get a chance.
It is truly an awesome mod as a protection of your car.
if enough people are interested, i can have him let it go for $350.
Let me know if anybody is interested.

Yeah,
but nobody has to know..
only you know you have a black box device installed in your car.
the record gets recorded in file and is saved in SD memory card.
you can erase the segment of file if you wish not to keep them.

I could see this being useful for speeding or an accident. But door dings and theft not so much seeing as the car has to be on for the device to work.

???? What good is the black box if you can't get to it??? Seems if some one did something you will find out hours maybe days later when you check the log files. For less than $400 you can get a GPS that will tell you all that and more from the web, smart phone apps, SMS, etc.
what GPS is that?

that would be awesome as i can be in my office or 100 miles away and check on my car.

first of all, i would like to make it clear to everybody that i am not affiliated with the vendor of this product in any way and just thought it would be a useful device to others as it is to me.
As far as the battery is concerned, it will automatically switch to parking mode when the key is out of the ignitioun and will run on its own battery that lasts up to 7 days or more. so whether the car is running or not, it will keep recording everything going on around your car.
Also the main point of this device is to protect yourself from unfair situation where somebody makes a sudden stop to cause an accident or runs a red light and blames everything on you etc..
Anyways, it could be only me finding this device helpful to protect our cars.
