Blank clock after battery change
Hey everyone
I replaced my battery yesterday and now I notice that my clock is blank.
The guy who did it said he was attaching something that would prevent "memory loss" during the procedure (be nice if that existed for people). Did it not work?
Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks

The car battery feeds all devices, including the clock.
I think he means everything works but the time on the clock reset after the power loss.
It looks like what they attached did not work. Its usually a special battery that clips on to save your radio settings and clock time. If your radion presets are gone too, that would be a further indication the it was a total power loss. Just re-program the clock and presets if needed.

well he's saying that the clock is blank. i would think that if it were just reset it would be showing a time, but just the wrong time. it sounds like there is no time showing at all.
the reason i asked about the radio is cause i think the clock is on the radio on an AP1? and most hondas have a device which disables the radio if there is power loss cause it thinks that the radio is being stolen. again i could be wrong IDK all that much about AP1 radios. if the radio has gone into lock down there is normally a security code.
but none of this matters seeing how the OP has made a come hep me thread, but doesn't seem to want to come back and check it...

You will need to insert the radio code if you have not. Nothing will work until you do that and it will show an error if you try to do anything else before putting the code in.
the number you just extracted from the radio is NOT, IS NOT the radio code. What you have is a serial number for the radio. Go to your honda dealer and have them give you the code, the radio code consist of 5 numbers. I don't think they charge for this service, it's just a matter of entering the serial number in some database and getting the code, takes them but a minute. They may ask for proof of ownership, take your title just in case.
inserting the code is not difficult, you don't need the dealer to do it. You were able to get the serial code, you can enter the radio code.
