Default BlitzSafe iPod Adaptor isn't fitting behind stereo

So I connected everything together and am trying to push the stereo back into place but no matter what configuration I use/move around things the stereo isn't fitting back into place. I'm getting extremely frustrated and don't know what to do.

Has anyone installed ANY ipod adaptor that can offer any advice? There's like NO space to maneuver around back there to push things around.

Thanks..

I removed the side knee plates to jiggle and pull the wires aside and out of the way. If you just try to push it in from the front, things bunch up and don't fit very well.

^^My issue is just the stereo itself is not backing into its place.

CKit - I had the right knee plate out to slip the ipod connector out from there but didn't notice any way to really access the back of the stereo area. I somehow jammed it back for now, but do you think it would be worth it to take off the knee plates and try again?

You might get more responses if this was in the electronics section.
