Default ----Blown Diff Roll Call---

Well guess I am the newest member to the blown diff club.. who else is or has been in that boat? post up!

I've put less then 5k on the car since iv had it and done the motor swap. not ONCE did I launch the car or dump the clutch. i heard too many horror stories about s2000 diffs being weak like the wrx's. so i never did it HOPING i wouldnt have that problem.. guess it doesnt matter when the owner before you didnt care.

Comptech Reinforced Differential and Richmond 4.56 FD (big thanks to JT at xlevel)

managed to get it on video. me and a buddy with a STI just got our invidia exhaust and a friend evo with RSR exhaust on. we were doing drive buys for sound.
i rolled into it in 1st like iv always done. never slamming it, or slamming gears.

what?? what happened? was it the same end cap that broke and stredded the pinion gear?? how long did it last? is there any kind of warrenty for the same part failing that the comptech unit was suppose to fix? what gear ratio were you running?
where you hard on it or launch/track it alot?

sorry to slam you with questions, but i thought the comptech unit was a strong one..

from what i understand the comptech is a step up from stock.... however if you want bullet proof, you cant go wrong with the diff kit from inlinepro with a nissan r200 pumpkin

We fixed one like that just for fun To do this kind of work is cost prohibited. It takes many man hours and the ability and tools to pull it off and have it work. The repair is stronger than the bearing cap it
