Just wanted to see if anyone else has had engine problems with there Honda S2000. Mine has (had) 2200 miles..
Somehow, I sucked a valve, and blew a piston. YUK.
Anyway, just wanted to let anyone out there know, and watch for problems..

This thread gives the impression that many engines are "failing." After you eliminate the driver-caused "failures" like bad downshifts, and the very, very occassional lemon, the only recurring engine problem is the #4 cylinder problem. Am I wrong?

Sunchild, you are wrong. There's also a number of porous block failures.

MOST F20C engines don't fail. We have collected at least 16 failures that are not due to a missed down-shift.

16 out of 30,000 produced.

I'm not a mathmetician, especially after a few beers...

But what exactly is the failure rate of 16 out of 30,000? I'm just curious...

Thx
