Default Blown Motor....What's it worth?

My F20 dropped a valve at 44K miles, I've already put the new motor in the car and this one is in the way now that I'm moving so I need to sell it....only problem is that I don't know what I should sell it for.

Still has lots of stuff on it, Fuel rail, valve cover, intake, clutch, ect, ect, and I'm sure people bore blocks and what not.

So what's it worth?

Are the cylinder walls scarred?

P.S. Don't turn this into a for sale thread.

Haven't checked, I do know that the motor will turn with a ratchet, but only a bit each way...probably a piece of valve or stem lodged in the cylinder wall, but I can't be sure.

And I didn't plan on it, but thanks for the heads.

You should part it out. Selling it as a whole will net you less.

44k - no many miles. I'd remove the head to see the damage first before making a decision to part it out.

im with this guy, for the little amount you will get out of it i would do that or slowly build it for boost if you want that later down the road, then sell your running motor when its time to swap.

Ever seen Top Gear's V12 coffee table? I'm sure if you made an end table and sent it to them they would use it, and every time the show came on you would be reminded of your engine.

That is, if you watch Top Gear
