Default blown spoon engine

a friend of mine is going to be buying an s2k very soon. he has big plans and right now is looking into putting in a spoon engine into it. he also wants to supercharge it.
would this be possible with say a vortech or a comptech kit?

What a waste of a spoon engine... All the effort to squeeze little extra ponies in NA all gone to waste by adding a blower...

Anyways I think the spoon engine runs like a 12.1:1 compression...so something to think about if you are going to go FI...

It would be a mistake... the engine is completely blueprinted and balanced... you don't want to mess with 9k dollars of perfection... the spoon engine puts down about 250 from th numbers I've seen... The spoon crate engine, as mentioned by kid, runs 12 to 1... when you blow a car, you want to drop compression... NA, you raise compression... I hope your friend has very deep pokets.. hmm.. .9k + install for spoon crate, 4600 for Vortech kit + installation, nessicary engine management would cost at a min. 350 bucks, then tuning... If he's not planning on dropping about 20K in the car, then let it be a nice daydream. Lots of us do drop that kind of money, and it's not to say that he wouldn't, but I can almost garuntee that he will have problems with that setup, and be spending quite a bit of time fixing the car... Just my .02

If your buddy (are you sure it isn't you?) wants the ultimate NA engine then go Spoon (someone's watched too much TF&TF).

If your friend actually wants power for money forget the Spoon and get the blower.

But the two are like chlorine and brake fluid. Both do their intended job, but don't mix them.
