re: Maaco $295

How good is the paint quality and has anybody tried this? The only repaint on an S2000 that I know of is the one in Fast and the Furious (which has probably been repainted a few dozen times by now). How much do you think it would cost to get the car repainted WELL? I'd love to get the Santorin Blue from my old A4 on my S2000... that'd be SWEET!

I had my old CRX Si repainted quite some years ago due to a peeling front fender (back then the paint job cost was maybe $149). Of course, sanding (small areas of rust), prepping and masking (never included in the ads except for fine print) ran about $300.

I think the car looked great. I don't know if a finnicky S2K owner would be happy, but it looked great to me and lasted the life of the car.

I don't know about the blue? I saw one last week at the dealership and it looks too much like a bimmer color for me. And the blue interior has to go. My two cents.

Playing the role of devil's advocate ----> Suzuka Blue is nice only in certain shades and angles, but the majority of the time, the color looks like a really dirty purple. Just my opinion...

Still love that Grand Prix White though/
