It's High School.

Immature hormone driven jealous idiots walk by your car every day by the hundreds.

Get something that can be beaten up till you graduate. Save during this time so:

A. You can afford to spend more when you do get one.
B. You can buy mods instantly when you do.
C. Shit happens. You will still have that money if it we're to happen.
D. Insurance should be a bit lower once you graduate and turn 18.

do what you feel in ur heart, if you can afford and S in high school, consider urself fortunate. Just be aware there is a high rate of theft and vandalism and insurance is high on the "S"

get ur body kit, rice it out to the max, be unique, enjoy life, have lots of sex, and be merry.

Tons of people had better cars than an AP1 s2000 when I was in high school, so OP don't let comments like that stop you. If you (or your parents) can afford one then go for it.....the only thing I can see ppl giving you $hit for would be a crazy body kit.

Be a cool kid. FYI lambo doors make the s2k worth about 2,000 less.

I do not plan on just making it look cool, that not what im all about. I currently have a jetta, and have put to much money into it making it fast, i just want a sports car, and I like attention. I dont think I will have to much problem with vandalism or anything like that.

One more question... What material should I buy? I would get it painted to match the body. Can you paint on any material?

weight does not matter to me

Alright...my recommendation is the veilside body kit. It looks the best in my opinion. Google Image search...

This thread is funny. We're talking about a 9 year old Honda like its God's gift. When I was in HS (graduated in 2005) there was a guy a couple years ahead of me with a new at the time 03. It, due to the tuning trends at the time, was very ricey (veilside kit, gauges built into the dash, etc). My friend also had an E46 M3, and an ex had an XK8. This isn't the 1980s where you drive hand me down beaters - today is a different world.

I on the other hand drove a '71 Datsun... by choice, but wasn't a 'rich kid'. Driving an 8-15K Honda isn't that big of a deal.

Im with the majority who say 'invest' in other mods.
