That was in his reference towards a wide body kit for less than 1,000. I love wide body kits on the correct cars.

It all depends on what you are doing with the car. No I don't think too many people would spend $50K for a street car, but $50K for body panels on a car that is meant to be raced is not out all that much money. Cars that are professionally raced have body panels that can cost 3 to 5 times more depending on the type of racing.

Chances are they are making it just for their own purpose and if someone wants to buy one they can... hence the premium price

Tooling/R&D on your own custom prepreg carbon aero kit probably pulls a huge premium... if you're just throwing tons away like Wings West or whatever shh...sssstuff is out there... you can charge budget prices

Just my take... and lucky for me... I'm really happy with my stockish AP2 (low and wheels for function and form)... and anyone who tracks their car... knows you don't want to have an expensive aero kit... it's not if you'll tear it up... it's when... which is probably why they probably have more than one sitting around for this premium kit under discussion
