I know cross-posting is just wrong... but I am not sure how many of you guys will see my post in the electronics section. I was planning on installing the oem alarm into my 2008 S this weekend. Have a few questions about the install process and a proximity sensor here:

the alarm install is pretty straightforward---the instructions are available on HandAaccessories website (they had the best price when I bought mine) take a look at them ---it's not hard but you have to take your time. the wiring is all "plug in" to existing harnesses and the main box goes under the drivers seat (you have to remove it)
The prox sensor can attach to the hood sensor conncetor--do a search in the electronics forum and you should find examples where folks have put prox sensors under the armrest in the center console
