The pain in the butt part is trying to un-do the snaps that are towards the middle of the cover. To solve that problem, I only use four of the six snaps. Mine doesn't seem to flap around at highway speeds either. I only use it when I know the weather is going to be nice, and when I don't have anything in the trunk so that I have somewhere to put it just in case.

You people are joking right...the boot takes 20 seconds to put on , and 10 seconds to take off, which then fold nicely into the trunk. Other than a button operated hard-boot, this is the simplest boot out there. You want difficulties, try putting a boot onto a miata after it has sat all winter and shrunk up.

don't u guys have to take the boot off so you can close the top when you park at a public location? Or do you guys leave your top down when you guys park your cars at a public location?

In southern california, I would never leave my top open in a public parking location.

My boot cover was used exactly once, when I drove from the dealer to my place after buying the car.

20,500 miles driven. Boot cover never used.

Mine is still in the original bag on the top shelf in my garage, where I suspect it will always be...
