Every once and a while my brakes pull to one side or the other (usually to the right) when I am slowing down to stop (below 20 mph). Happens when cold or hot on various road conditions. Tire pressure is okay and of course it never happens when I am having the car serviced. Any ideas? I haven't seen anything posted here and a search of past posts yielded nothing.

Thanks!

You may want to have the alignment checked, toe-in off on right? I checked mine myself (rough check of course) and discovered it was off and then took it in. It was out of spec on front and back! Wheel was also not perfectly centered.

A great Honda tech adjusted on it for 2 hours and it drives great now. BTW, wheel is perfectly centered too.

Vidalia, your keyword being 'once in a while' means that there may not be problem at all.
I experience the brake pull once in a while too but it happens only when the road surface is bumpy or not smooth.
If you are pulling while slowing to stop when the road is velvety smooth than it is odd.
Make sure that is the case.

I want to make the same suggestion as 1Randyc. The only times I feel pull is when slowing at low speeds and the road surface is uneven. Try some stops on smooth and then uneven roads and let us know what you discover.

I think I'll take it to a parking lot tonight and see how the pull is on a flat, uniform surface.

Thanks

Asphalt tends to sag and get troughed out at intersections that see heavy traffic (or light traffic that's heavy ).

This won't give you a consistent pull left or right but will make it feel spooky never the less. Cars with wide tires are more susceptible to this effect.

Your parking lot test should confirm this
