yout outta luck...sorry....cops dont do reports unless you damage public property or if someone's hurt.

the guy admitting fault to his insurance company means nothing either...they would deny it.....just one of thsoe expensive unfortunate incidents...

crap, that is such garbage. UGH.

$830 for wheels, ~$350-400 for the tires for me to fix this stuff, plus an alignment? and i did nothing wrong except MISS his out of control car?

seriously, is there no legal recourse for me? you can represent yourself in small claims court, right?

If you were only going 25 slamming on the brakes would bring you to a stop damn near instantly, in which case you should have missed this "swerve".

But sorry to hear about your mishap

Get in touch with your insurance agent and let him know the full story.
There is no certainty that this incident will cause your ins. rates to increase. If you've been with them a few years they might be very reasonable and pay for your repairs and not up your rates.
Either way, get your car fixed now so you don't have to brood over it for any length of time. Good luck.

i took it out on rte 66 and there's constant buzzing in the cabin, but i can't pinpoint it. i'm not sure if it's related to the engine or not. if i rev it to 3-4k RPM while in neutral, i don't think i hear it, but if i'm cruising at 55mph i can definitely hear it. not to mention there are way more rattles and weird things going on.

bottom line: THIS SUCKS. brand new car, less than 1,300 miles, basically relegated to being a used POS. i didn't pay $29k to have a POS.

You have been in at least 4 accidents in the last three years?

Maybe you should stay off the roads? Your insurance must be high as hell! I am sure that they would consider you a liability at this point. My girlfriend has been in three accidents in 5 years, none of them where her fault, but our insurance company considers her a liability.

only one was dealt with through the other party's insurance company (moving truck bashed into my PARKED car on a street in DC). my insurance is normal or low, even, at about $650 every 6 months.

i dunno, i don't get moving violations; i just have cars who run into me when i'm parked.

this seems like not a big deal but man....the car's engine has barely been broken in and it's been maimed already. there are all sorts of weird noises in the cabin now, and the engine itself sounds like it's puttering weirdly.

can i sue the guy for lowering the value of my car?

it's dark but i'll take some pics tomorrow. they look very superficial but i'm more concerned with the suspension and any other structural problems that would accompany hitting a curb with both wheels. i think there's some damage under the front right lip, too.
