Default break in milage and speed!!

I just got a new 2003 s2000 thousand and I was just wondering how many miles that you have to put on the car before you can actually hammer it. I've hammered it a couple of times hitting around 7500rpms when I had about 300 miles on it. now I have about 920 and I'm freaked out about driving it fast. My friend told me that you cant drive over 55 and you cant hammer it until 1000 miles. He said he had a friend that drove his s2000 pretty tough the first week and ended up messing up the engine. Please guys give me some input here!

Naw...you are fine. Don't worry about it.

Where did you buy in Houston? Did you get a good deal?

Just remember not to VTEC it until it is 3 bars warm. Hammering it while the engine's cold is one of the highest causes of engine wear.

You should have read your owner's manual before you "hammered" it. Hopefully, you don't have engine problems down the road.

READ THE OWNER'S MANUAL? What a novel idea!
