Default Breaking in 05 but.....

2 questions.....I have a new 05 that I plan on adding a comptech SC w/AC ASAP. I have 800 miles on the car now. How long should I wait before adding SC . My Honda dealer said they would not warrant car if I added SC, I called Honda and they said it was up to the dealer. If u add SC r u screwed?

are you serious? add even an air intake and you may be screwed, warranty-wise.

I think if you purchase and have it installed at the dealer then they should be more lenient on what they will warrant on your car. But warranty can always be a problem even when you're stock!

Find another dealership in your area and ask them. The dealership i go to said i coud SC as long as i did not run high boost. And as long as i did not mess with internals, they would still warrant. Some dealerships are pretty cool and others suck. Just make sure to do your homework and ask other in your area about the dealer. Try the regional forums.

With ALL due respect. I'm with Will on this one. How can you even consider even taking the chance of pooching your warranty?

Maybe take some time to enjoy WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE and see if you don't get all the enjoyment your searching for. I'd hate to see you being one of the rare guys how have a critical failure in the first few months only to have your dealership tell you to go pound salt.

^^WIMP You make it sound like everyone on this board is a schmuck if they install a SC. Plenty of people have them covered under warranty. My answer would be to do some research first and make a intelligent decision based on your personal situation. Check the threads in under the hood-> forced induction.

i had 10K miles on mine when i added it, but my installer said you can have it delivered with an S/C if you wanted too.

an S/C is NOT intrusive to a car.
