Breaking in 05 but.....
As others have mention, you can try another dealership. I know here in Georgia, the dealership I bought my S2000 from would warranty a Comptech SC. The catch is you have to buy the supercharger from them and have them install it. My dealership said, the s/c is warranty for 1yr. Hope that helps and goodluck with what choice you make.

I might add this advice is coming from an MY01 owner who probably doesn't have an existing warranty that he laid out big cash for.

No warrenty for me.
If I didn't get one I could probably afford a SC.
Totally false information. They can't not warrenty a car just because ou added a aftermarket part no matter what that part is. Only if they con prove that the aftermarket part is what caused the malfunction. Now you could just go to hardtopguy and have it done there, then you'll maintain the warrenty, get it for less, have it installed correctly with nor more hassel than the transporting of you vehicle to his location.

If you add up all the people that have run in to trouble with Honda refusing to repair because (as the warranty states) 'ANY alteration' you would have a boat load of posts.
No warranty in the US can make you use only OEM parts ever, that's the law!

If I was you i'd wait a year or 12K mi just to let the engine loosen up a bit and to see if anything breaks (mfg defects should manifest itself early).
Your warranty is still 100% intact. According to the law, they have to prove the modification caused the problem. They can't blame your supercharger if the cd player stops working.
Of course, if you blow your engine, I'm sure they're not going to help.
Common sense indeed applies here.

excel can you find a copy of the statue that spells this out? I know there is a magnusson (sp?) warranty law but, where does it spell out the exact statement you made? It would be handy for me I'm sure....

The warranty states that it will not cover
Any installed part or accesory that failed because it was not designed to fit tthat year and model of Honda. ( the SC is designed for our cars)
Any failure caused by modifying the vehicle, or installing accesories not authorized by Honda.
If the dealer is selling and installing them, it is hard for them to say they are not authorized.
I have 7k on my 2004 and I think I am going to get the comptech with AC.

Well that's great ! I've managed to make my point without calling anyone anything. This is just MY OPINION. I thought I was entitled to that being I'm a paid member of the forum.
