Default Breaking the tires loose

I recently had a flat on the rear and replaced the rear s02's with s03's of a comprable size. Also this weekend i installed an AEM cai, the rest of the car is stock. So my question is recently i have been able to spin the tires much easier than before, so are the s03's not as sticky of a tire, or did the little horsepower i gained make that much of a differance, or is it a combination of the two. Thanks

PS Did you guys know our OEM wheels are made by enkei, just a bit of info.

s02s are about the most sticky tire you can run... so3s are wider but will break, which is what you experienced most likely- not the aem.

i can only get the s02's to break traction on 1st->2nd shifts and engaging vtec on a turn. s02's are very grippy.

Thank you because i thought that my cai was magicaly boosting my hp, becasue now on certain conditions i can floor it in first and git a little wheel spin when vtec engages, thanks for all of your help.

Indeed, the wheels are made by Enkei, who make quite a few OEM wheels for various
manufacturers. Ironic isn't it? Considering the S2000 wheel snobs who look down upon Enkei as
an inferior wheel brand.
I always get a kick out of that one, thanks for reminding me.
