I am getting ready to order (2) Bridgestone Potenza S-02 225/50WR16 rear tires ($156/each) from tirerack.com Does anyone have the part number for these tires? These are the closest to Honda OEM rear tires right? Thanx.

Jim from Tirerack posts his extension in the Tirerack forum -- I would call him directly. Or you can call Connor at Tirerack at 1-800-428-8355 X269. If you order on the phone, make sure you mention this site so that CThree will get some credit.

I went to a bridgestone dealer and he wouldn't stop talking about the SO3. I say I want SO2. He said they are being discontinued. I think this will cause problems with my car.
I now have dunlop SP Sport 5000. They suck. I want SO2.

From reading the tirerack.com forum, Jim@tirerack.com is totally raving about the S03s. I would love to give them a try but my front tires are still at 50% so I wouldn't want to mix the S02s and S03s together. Maybe my next whole set would be S03s...

* standard
* OEM for Porsche
* OEM for Honda (S2000)
* S-02 Pole Position
I could be wrong, but I could have sworn I remember seeing all these in a Tire Rack magazine ad a while back.
Anyway, Tire Rack's web.site only lists two Bridgestone 225/50-16 S-02s now, and I don't see anything at all related to the S-02 or S-02PP on Bridgestone's web.site. If Bridgestone does decide to discontinue the S-02 line, we'll just need to carefully watch what Honda puts on the newer S2000s. Hopefully, Honda will put as much homework into these as they did with the current OEM S-02s...and that the Tire Rack will be willing/able to get them.
Anyway, my tires should be here on Monday, so I'll let you all know if these are not the S-02s I'm expecting (w/92W designator).
