Default Bridgewater Acura

Where the hell does this place find all of these near-mint s2k's? They are like a freaking factory. Their prices seem pretty inflated though. Is anyone really paying that much for their s2000?

Link for reference...

Looks like Cali prices to me!!

When u start pushing $30k. Im throwing another $5k (whats another $5k when we're talking $30k) and taking that next step in the performance game. S'

S2000 are special, but not $30k+ for a 6 year old car.

If Im paying $30k+ Im getting a Elise, Cayman S, or 2004 Vette Z06, maybe even a 2002 Viper. Something people know cost a lot of money. I don't have to say anything.

pretty sure the nsxkid (sn) is a manager over there. he owns (owned?) an NSX and an S2000.

buy low at auction and sell high.

they will sell for what the market will bear.

Interesting motivations.

I guess it's all relative. There are a lot of people (and some are even on this forum) who would consider $30k to be chump change.

The performance to dollar ratio isnt good. Especially on the used market.

Different car segment, but a co worker went and bought a brand new Accord Coupe v6 for her family. I spent slightly more and got a 4 year old Escalade (I have a DD).

My Co_worker told me she wish she got and Escalade instead of her Accord, especially after I told her I only paid slightly more then she did. She likes all the attention it gets.

S2000 same thing. U buy the S2k for $32k, I pay $35k ish and get a Dodge Viper. I pull up next to your S2k at a meet with the Viper, and all ya thinking is ,"Damn, I shoulda bought a Viper."

I would only pay $23k MAX for a non CR S2k..... Im down in Florida where the prices arent bloated like Cali.

I suppose some people might think that way. It just happens that I don't. I really don't care what people pay for their cars and I don't compare the value of mine to other's cars. That's just not important to me. What matters to me is how much a person cares for their car and/or their commitment to driving it well.

But everyone is different.

I'm in the same boat. I could care less what people think of my car and what others paid for their car.

I am still a fan of the person who tells me how their car new cost $xx,xxx.... then I find out they bought their car used and it's 6 years old

Anyway, that's interesting that they have so many s2000s. I am really surprised that the pricetag is where it's at... having said that, if someone wants a low mileage clean s2000, that seems to be a good place to find one.

With Bridgewater Acura you're getting into some of the upscale neighborhoods of NJ. Think of Princeton and north into the western region and you're talking horse farms and estates (yes, we do have those in NJ !).

So a dealer can charge a premium for a very clean S2000 without a problem. But I am surprised that they have so many for sale at one time.

"Cali" issues? BTW we hate that term

Lot's of clean S2000s here that rarely see rain or humidity, and never snow or salt. There are just too many people who consider 25-30K chump change for a super clean S2000.
