I have the PIAA 85 watt (claimed to be the equivelent of 100W) and like AusS2000 can see little difference except to my wallet.

Here in Oz there is little in the way of HID accessory driving lights but in the US there are a lot. I thought about getting them but from this distance the chances of "experimenting" is zero and with the Oz $ wallowing at ~US53c I would need to take out a loan.... If you use HID in any of the search engines you come up with lots of links.

It would be good if a local or two (US Local that is) could look more into it see if there are any quality HID driving lights that would fit in the grill enclosure. It would then be possible to actually check physical fit and looks before purchase and even see light pattern to ensure quality.

I have another car with Cibie Super Oscar Driving Lights with 100Ws and they are like day light but have the size to match their output and obviously are not a "matching" accessory for the S2000.

Do a search on "Raybrig" or 'Raybig' HID driving lights. I believe that they just released something new for the S2000.

Use the http://www.google.com search engine. This is an aweseome engine to search with!

Here's a link to thread that discusses the Raybrig HIDs:

Note that these are not high beam replacements but very small and compact supplemental lights that will fit within the grill opening of the S2000.

I just had to respond to gbaker's comment regarding the ability to see the deer before hitting him. I struck a deer (or rather the deer ran into me once I stopped to the side of him) on the very night I bought my S2000. I had only 42 miles on it! Luckily the only damage was an ever so slight dent just in front of the driver's side rear wheel which Dentpro fixed like new!
